Being an RV technician is all about problem solving and will involve; plumbing, electrical (both 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC), propane, carpentry, welding, body work, sheet metal work, accessory installation, electronics, mechanical repairs and RV roofing. 14) Motorized pre delivery inspection
15) Horse trailer pre delivery inspection
16) D.O.T. safety inspection
17) Correct Track alignment inspection
18) Camber and toe inspection on trailer axle
19) Slide room maintenance
20) 7 way trailer plug replacement
21) 7 way tow vehicle plug replacement
22) Brake control installation (pre-wired)
23) 7 way vehicle wiring package (hard wired brakes & charge)
24) Turn over GN truck hitch installation
25) Fridge theory, diagnosis and replacement

Basic Duty’s and Basic Expectations of Service Technician;
1. Perform tasks as requested by Service Writer, Shop Foreman or other authorized supervisor.
2. Always perform tasks with highest level of quality and professionalism. At minimum, meet OEM standards.
3. Complete all tasks within time allowed. Meet or exceed promised deadlines.
4. Maintain open communication with Service Writer, Shop Foreman.
5. Maintain accurate clock in and out times with description of cause and correction on all work orders.
6. Maintain accurate parts use on all work orders.
7. Keep individual iPads either at your tool box or at charging station during working hours, do not lock in your tool box!
8. Turn in individual iPads to charging station and plug in charger at the end of every day.
9. Technician will keep and maintain their own tools and tool box within the premises and contain the required tools as listed in the Technician Handbook.
10.Return all unused parts to parts department for restocking; do not keep extra parts or supplies in your tool box!
11.Notify Parts Leader of low parts, supplies, or material quantities immediately.
12.Always notify Service Writer and Shop Foreman when leaving for lunch, so that we are adequately staffed.
13.Continuously strive to improve performance and knowledge.
14.Keep work areas including bench’s clean, organized and safe at all times.
15.Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of shop, tools and equipment. The shop is to be completely swept, all cords and hoses rolled up and the shop restroom every Friday at 4:00 before the work week is complete. Every shop team member is expected to share in the cleaning equally.
16.Inform supervisor of any safety related problems.
17.Assist other techs only when help is needed or requested. If assistance required exceeds 15 minutes, then have work order dispatched to you and then clock in on work order when assisting.
18.Always be respectful of co-workers property.
19.Always return tools and equipment to its proper storage location when finished, do not keep shop or borrowed tools in your personal tool box unless instructed to do so by your supervisor.
20.If you borrow a tool more than 2 times, then that indicates that you should posses that same tool on your own.
